We asked them questions about the development of Bountie Hunter.
INTRODUCTION
Q~ Thanks for joining us today, could you introduce yourself and the team behind Bountie Hunter to our community firstly ?
A~ I started out as a very casual gamer in my younger days that occasionally indulges in Starcraft and CounterStrike. I wouldn’t say I’m a hardcore gamer compared to Lex but I have always been intrigued to bring real-world relevance and association into the virtual world. When I understood blockchain gaming in the metaverse world. It became clear to me how the lines are now blurring and I’m thrilled to be part of this changing frontier. I use to run a digital ad agency in Singapore and Indonesia before starting out Bountie in 2017 together with Lex.
As for Lex, he has been a hardcore gamer since young. I recalled his highest achievement was World No. 8 in WarCraft 3 many years ago. In those days, however, gaming wasn’t seen as an industry and there weren’t enough opportunities for gamers to monetise on their skillsets. Lex then went on capitalising on his digital interest by setting up several of the biggest e-commerce businesses in Singapore that span the optometry and apparel industry. The gaming industry has changed since then and we are excited that we can bring our entrepreneurial experiences back into the gaming space.
Our COO, Ryan. He started as a very passionate sports enthusiast that ran as a GM for several large sporting organisations in Singapore. One of his career highlights was managing the inaugural Youth Olympics that was held in Singapore. We got together through an introduction from our investor and Ryan has since transferred his relevant experiences from sports to the world of esports and metaverse gaming.
Our CTO, Andree, is an Indonesian computer science wizard that graduated from Singapore National Technological University. He has a very calm and assuring demeanour when it comes to working, tell him a tech problem and he will be able to provide a solution. He has worked for some of the biggest startups in Indonesia and we are honoured to have him in our team.
For the rest of our team, there are many talented esports and crypto enthusiasts that have joined the team since. I wouldn’t go on to share further or I would have to start preparing a thesis. 🤣. Q~ Tell us about Bountie Hunter as a project and it’s contributions to the world of Gaming and the Metaverse ?
A~ Bountie Hunter is a GameFi ecosystem that helps gamers to make money from gaming. 💰💰💰
Started doing this in 2017 via esports tournaments before GameFi or Play-To-Earn were a thing.
Our mission is to be the de-facto platform for gamers to discover and invest in crypto gaming and metaverse projects.
Q~ Can you give us a rundown on the $BOUNTIE tokenomics and it’s usecases ?

There are a few token usecases, here are the brief details:
- Earn Yield: You would be able to stake BOUNTIE to earn 20% APY on single-side staking and 100% APY on liquidity mining.
- Win Allocations: Our token holders will be able to earn via staking, farming, airdrops, esports tournaments and many more!
- Receive Airdrops: You’ll receive airdrops from our partners when you stake BOUNTIE.
- Farm Tokens: You’ll be able to farm our partners tokens when you stake BOUNTIE. Thus increasing your APY. Similar to how Unifarm works.
- Trade NFTs: You will be able to use BOUNTIE to buy and sell NFTs on our marketplace once it’s launched.
In a nutshell:
Our token holders will be able to earn via staking, farming, airdrops, esports tournaments and many more!
Q~ What significant achievements has the team made so far ? Also share with us your roadmap and any future plans ?
A~
Desmond: Perhaps I could give you some colours on our business model before I answer our achievements thus far.
Simply put, we are assisting Web3 games with gamers acquisition and retention. Many P2E games suffer from a lack of gamer’s adoption and gamers retention after releasing their game. We leverage on the 5 years of esports tournament experiences we have had in South East Asia to help many of such blockchain games. Thus positioning ourselves as a GameFi Accelerator.
We customised bespoke go to market game awareness and gamer’s acquisition strategies with these different Web3 games. We typically charge these projects a cost per gamer acquisition model or cost per tournament model.
Also, we are also launching Bountie Academy, our ‘learn-to-play’ education platform for our game partners. We aim to deliver a bite-sized ‘how-to’ curriculum to our gaming communities, distilling the mechanics of complex Web3 gameplay into short video tutorials meant for the everyday gamer.
In the past 3 months, we have closed 7 different projects, done 16 crypto-based esports tournaments within Indonesia and the Philippines with about 8,000 gamers, booked in at approximately USD 250K of revenues.

For the roadmap:
First, we are starting out with Staking and Quests which will be ready at launch for you to participate in.
Second, we will be launching our launchpad to give your early access and invest on the ground floor of the most fun and innovative next-generation games.
Third, we’ll be launching our gamers’ profile, which is what we dubbed as the Linkedin for Gamers. This would be something that you use to show off to your friends and also to record all of your gaming history and achievements.
Of course, let’s not forget about the avatar! You’ll be able to buy Bountie and our partners’ NFTs to be equipped with your avatar to make it look super cool and amazing.
There are many more secret plans we have in our roadmap, not going to release them until the timing is ripe 😝
Xiaolin: In the next few months, should see a number partnerships with gaming projects looking for gamer acquistion and retention.

Q~ According to your roadmap, The IDO is scheduled for April. Can you give some details about your upcoming IDO event…. How can we keep up with your updates ?

QUESTIONS FROM TELEGRAM
Q~ What are the key objectives and milestones that you aim to achieve in 2022?
A~ There are 3 key objectives:
- Revenues Targets - We are shooting for at least $10m revenue for 2022. If things goes smoothly, this target may be extremely conservation. 🙂
- Token holders - Based on the 8 launchpads that we are working with for public sale, we should have at least 8,000 to 15,000 token holders. Our goal is to increase that by 20x to 300,000 token holders. This includes the 250,000 gamers that have already registered on Bountie.io
- Product Roadmap - To deliver the features on time with the high level of craft possible.
Q~ Have came across a lot of Rug pull and scams which have stolen millions of $$ from investors, What security measures do you take to vet these projects introduced to your community of gamers, in the quest to find the next Axie Infinity for them?
A~ We try our best to curate the projects but the best thing is we don’t require our community to invest any capital to participate. So there is no risk to our community at all.

Q~ Why do guys think it’s important to carry an esports audience growth analytics? How did it help you in your project creation?
A~ In the world of gaming, we have seen and believe that esports is the pinnacle of it all. There are many different genres of games but at the end of it all. The talk of the town almost always goes back to your MOBA, FPS, Battle Royale, RTS genre.
So it is our belief that if Web3 games wants to achieve mainstream adoption, they would have to look at the possibilities of making their game an ‘esports-able’ game title.
Bountie Hunter can help with identifying those segments.

Q~ So many investors have just focused on price of token in short term instead of understanding the real value of the project. Can you tell us on motivations and benefits for investors to invest in your project in long term?
A~ Great question, being in the gaming space for the last 5 years. We have seen a myriad of games and we understand what works and what doesn’t. With that knowledge, we have set out Bountie Hunter’s journey to be different such that we will work with solid game projects and curate those for our gaming community. So for the investor, they are assured that we only want to work with the best projects that give their token price the best long term appreciation.
